Damian Z. Evans

Damian Z. Evans has become a trailblazing breath of fresh air in the world of screenwriting. By writing compelling story lines marinated with diversity, screenwriting has become his highway of change to influence all of humanity. Born in New Jersey and youngest of three boys, Damian Evans spent his earlier years witnessing non-traditional families, poverty, and street life every day. To change environments, his mother moved the family to Atlanta in 1996. Atlanta gave Damian a different look at life. He endured multiple hardships adjusting to his new life being bullied at school and also watching his mother struggle to provide. In the 3rd grade, Damian developed a passion for writing stories every day. Writing became his way of escape as he felt the power of creating a story and having control over it, something he lacked in real life. Sadly, today's school systems do not cater to a child's hidden talents, but provide them with outdated information to mindlessly recite leading to Damian's writing fading away. 

After research, Damian decided to attend the Mass Communications Program at Savannah State University. It was here that the conscious side of Damian was born, making him aware of the world through an educated perspective. While everyone else on campus partied, Damian was in his room reading and researching more information to quench his thirst for more knowledge. Soon as a senior, Damian's influence became so impressive Professors would step aside and let Damian facilitate classroom discussions on Human Rights and a plethora of socially conscious during class time. Damian graduated Cum Laude in 2011. 

Soon after, Damian began working on various production sets. At a certain point, he noticed the lack of diverse characters in film and felt better roles needed to be created to represent real life. At this moment, Damian's childhood came full circle realizing he could write with diversity, substance, and heart-wrenching storytelling in mind. Since then, Damian has traveled to Hollywood meeting and presenting like there’s no tomorrow. Damian has multiple projects in development, including a Bullying feature film with an attached Executive Producer that has garnered the attention of more Producers and Investors. Today, as Founder and CEO of Reel Change Productions, Damian feels the time is now to create and write solid roles to leave a lasting impression on the next generation.
